Experience makes a real difference in training, and with over 80 years of real estate experience between them, our Joyner Academy instructors are some of the most knowledgeable in the Upstate.

Giovanna Singh Crocker

Giovanna began her real estate career 24 years ago in the multifamily industry. In 2005, she decided to transition from leasing to sales and discovered her niche for working with new construction. Despite the demands of her roles, Giovanna has always committed time to teaching real estate across the state through area real estate schools and at community colleges. Today, she continues to promote and serve at the local level on various committees and boards endorsed by NAR. She is a resident of Spartanburg County, where she enjoys the slower pace of life and considers herself a hometown local and neighbor. Her favorite past time is spent enjoying all the Carolina’s have to offer with social and outdoor adventures with friends and her family – her one son, his wife along with her two beautiful grandchildren.

Veronica Mullenix

Veronica has been a real estate practitioner since 1998 in Houston, TX; and, she has a BS Degree in Education from Texas State University. Veronica has been a real estate instructor and a mentor to Realtors for nearly 20 years. She moved to Greenville, SC in 2021 to live closer to her grandchildren, and to devote herself to the instruction and training of Realtors. To persist in being a knowledgeable practitioner Veronica stays informed about market conditions, and industry issues and developments through involvement in local, state, and national Realtor® Association leadership and governance. Ms. Mullenix serves on numerous Realtor® Association committees, advisory groups and task forces, and is dedicated to shaping the future of the real estate industry.

Matthew Thrift

Matthew began his real estate career in 2006. He is a Magna Cum Laud graduate of Southern Wesleyan University earning a BA in Business Administration. He has served in multiple areas with the Greater Greenville Association of REALTORS® and is currently the Grievance Committee Chairman. In 2018, he earned the REALTOR® of the year award for his volunteer services to GGAR. From 2006 – 2011, he specialized in distressed and REO / Bank Owned properties. In 2012, he opened his own brokerage in order to fully concentrate on REO properties. In October of 2015, he joined C. Dan Joyner, REALTORS® as Broker In Charge of the Simpsonville Office. Currently, Matthew is Broker in Charge of the Midtown and Greer offices for the company. As an instructor his goals and aspirations are to assist and mold every agent to be the very best they can be, to help them reach their personal goals, and to help them to live the life they wish to live.

Richard Cox

Richard has quite literally spent his entire life in real estate. As soon as he could walk, he could be found around the halls of his family’s company, Surfside Realty, serving in virtually every capacity from maintenance to transaction management, sales, and marketing. After graduating from Wofford College in 2006, he worked with The Ginn Company, a Florida-based Developer, while pursuing a career on the PGA Tour. In 2010, Real Estate and the Upstate called him back. He completed his Master of Real Estate Development from Clemson University in 2012. Since then, he’s served as a development associate, a multifamily investment sales advisor, a luxury sales associate, a top producing residential agent, and currently as a Broker-in-Charge for BHHS C Dan Joyner Realtors ® where Richard has devoted his career to coaching and mentoring the most integral pieces of our industry: the agents, in order to provide the tools for our industry’s professionals to thrive and succeed.
